Important information for customers affected by wildfires in Alberta communities

May 09, 2023

Wildfires are affecting mail and parcel delivery in certain communities. Canada Post has implemented contingency measures to serve residents of these communities and to keep them connected.

As of May 9, wildfires are impacting mail services to the following Alberta communities:

  • Atikameg
  • Drayton Valley
  • Evansburg
  • Fox Creek
  • Fox Lake
  • Rainbow Lake
  • Wildwood

All mail destined for these locations, with the exception of Fox Lake, is available for pick up at the Canada Post Spruce Grove facility until the local post offices can reopen:

Spruce Grove Station Main
360 Saskatchewan Avenue
Open Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm

Mail for Fox Lake residents is available for pick up at:

Fort Vermilion Post Office
4701 50th Street
Open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm

Please remember to bring valid government-issued photo identification to pick up your mail.

Customers can check the Delivery service alerts page for updates and for postal services resuming to your community.

We thank those affected for their patience in this difficult time.

If customers have questions regarding their postal services, they can contact Canada Post's Customer Service team online at canadapost.ca/support or by telephone at 1-866-607-6301 (TTY: 1-800-267-2797).
