Canada Post Community Foundation

Delivering a brighter future for Canadian children and youth

The Canada Post Community Foundation is a registered charity distributing grants to Canadian schools, charities and community organizations that provide programming to children and youth (up to age 21). Every dollar raised goes directly to recipients – Canada Post covers all administrative costs.

How we’re making a difference

Since 2012, the Foundation has provided $14.8 million to over 1,300 projects nationwide. Supporting initiatives that benefit children and youth helps strengthen communities – Canada Post’s commitment to building a stronger Canada in action.

Our impact

The Foundation supports a variety of projects with a focus on health, education and community. A grassroots, community-based approach allows us to make a real difference across the country.

We champion small, underfunded projects that often go unnoticed and also support national organizations with far-reaching impacts.

Type of grants

Project grants aim to increase the capacity of an organization and create or expand projects or services. They range in value up to $25,000.

Signature Grants (worth $50,000 each) contribute to the overall work and mission of national organizations. The Indigenous Truth and Reconciliation Signature Grant is available to regional, local or national organizations.

Recipient selection process

A volunteer group of Canada Post employees review and recommend applications to an independent Board of Trustees. A point system decides which projects will receive funding.
