Why am I not able to verify my identity online?

    Before completing your purchase, we need to confirm your identity to ensure the security of your mail.

    To verify your identity, you may be asked to provide government-issued identification information and details pertaining to your credit history. The information, collected by Equifax, will only be used to confirm your identity and does not affect your credit score. Equifax is an independent consumer credit reporting agency used by Canada Post. At no time will Canada Post have access to your credit information or the questions asked, including the details as to why you were not able to verify your identity.     What you can do

    If you cannot verify your identity online, you can save the information you entered, complete your payment online, and receive a barcode that you can bring to the post office, along with your personal ID, to verify your identity in person.
