Closures and service interruptions

As Montréal prepares to host the 2026 UCI Road (cycling) World Championships and safely welcome fans from around the world, Canada Post wants customers to be aware of minor service interruptions.

From September 19 to 27, during the activities at the Fans Village in Jeanne-Mance Park and the cycling championships, minor service interruptions may occur in the vicinity of Jeanne-Mance Park and along race routes throughout the city.

Mail delivery

Residents and businesses located near the Fans Village site at Jeanne-Mance Park and along the race routes may experience minor disruptions to postal services. Every effort will be made to deliver mail on weekdays when races or training sessions are taking place; however, delays or service interruptions may occur.

Any mail that cannot be delivered will be securely held at the Canada Post depot and will be given priority for delivery on the next business day.

We encourage customers to download the Canada Post mobile app, available from the Apple App Store and Google Play. The app allows you to track your parcels, receive delivery notifications by email or text message, locate a post office to mail an item, and use the MyMail service to see mail that is scheduled for delivery or arriving soon. It also offers many other convenient features to help you manage your postal needs.

We also offer FlexDelivery^TM, a convenient way to have your parcels delivered directly to the post office location that is most convenient for you.

Post offices

Due to increased traffic and road closures, the following post offices may experience temporary access disruptions and delays in mail processing and delivery on certain race and training days:

• 3861 Saint-Laurent Boulevard
• 3575 Park Avenue
• 901 Sainte-Catherine Street East
• 1000 Wellington Street

Street letter mailboxes

Canada Post will seal street letter mailboxes located within the event, race and training perimeter until September 29.

To continue serving customers in a convenient and efficient manner, a notice will be posted on each sealed street lettermail mailbox directing customers to the nearest post office where they can deposit their letters and parcels.
