Closures and service interruptions

Effective immediately, services for parcels and letters to Guatemala are suspended at the request of the postal operator in the destination country, due to staffing and logistical difficulties it has been encountering.

Mail and parcels destined for Guatemala will not be accepted by Canada Post for the duration of the suspension. Mail and parcels already deposited with Canada Post for delivery to Guatemala will be returned to sender.

Postal service to Guatemala is expected to resume on January 15, 2017, at which time customers will be able to resend their mail items at no additional charge.
